As a member of the station's I-Team, Peter has investigated numerous issues affecting the Coachella Valley, including homelessness, border security, and illegal drugs. In addition, he frequently contributes in-depth reports on a wide range of topics. He received an Edward R. Murrow Award in 2023 for his investigative story on arsenic in the drinking water of Coachella Valley migrant communities. He received the 2022 California Golden Quill Award for outstanding education reporting.
Peter loves the Coachella Valley, which he has always considered his happy place. He is active with numerous desert charities and organizations, and frequently hosts galas and events. In 2024, he received the "Desert Above & Beyond Award," for all his charity work.
